A set of pre-cut masking films for the Mirage 2000C kit from Modelsvit in 1:72 scale (catalog number 72073). It ensures sharp frames on the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage 2000C is a French single-seat fighter aircraft with a delta wing and one jet engine. A large glazed canopy with a prominent frame covers the cabin, so the transition between the glass and the paint of the fuselage is one of the first places the eye notices on a finished model.
The set brings pre-cut self-adhesive masking films for the Mirage 2000C kit in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit, listed under catalog number 72073. The extent of the coverage is given in the enclosed manufacturer's instructions. The shapes are cut out beforehand, so measuring tape out on a curved canopy, where a straight strip will not work anyway, falls away.
Wash the glazing, degrease it and let it dry perfectly. Lift the masks out with the tip of a knife, carry them over with tweezers and press them down carefully, especially on the curves, where the film has a tendency to lift. Lay the paint down in thin coats, as otherwise it creeps under the edge and the line of the frame is blurred.
The set is for modelers who do not want to cut tape by eye in 1:72 scale and who want the frame of the cabin sharp all the way round. The kit and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
