A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 fighter in Finnish service. The model is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 was a French single-engined fighter with a liquid-cooled Hispano-Suiza V12. It appeared in the second half of the 1930s and in its day was among the most numerous French fighters, though in performance it soon fell behind its contemporaries. A number of aircraft found their way to Finland as well, where they went on flying and some of them later went through a deep rebuild with a different engine.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with the national markings and codes of Finnish aircraft. These are classic waterslide decals, released from the backing with water. The aircraft model and the paints are not included in the package.
The surface under the decals has to be smooth and glossy; on a flat finish a white haze will appear under the marking. Cut the marking out as close to the artwork as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it begins to slide on the backing. Wet the spot beforehand, move the decal over with a brush and blot the surplus water away with a cloth. On broken-up surfaces a decal softener helps. Once dry, varnish the model over; the edges of the decals disappear and the surface evens out.
The set is intended for builders of Finnish aircraft in 1:72 scale for whom the markings from the base kit are not enough. The model, paints, glue and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check compatibility with your particular kit against the manufacturer's information.
