An injection-molded plastic kit of the URAL-4320 off-road truck. The kit is built on three sprues with more than forty parts and breaks down into the cab, the frame, the bed and the wheels, which puts it among the faster builds in this scale. Its small parts count makes it a rewarding addition to convoys and dioramas, where the vehicle is meant to fill out the scene rather than spend a whole weekend on the workbench.
The URAL-4320 is an off-road truck with drive to all three axles, built at the plant in Miass since the second half of the 1970s and still in production today. It was created as a universal carrier for hauling cargo, troops and trailers over rough ground and off the road. The chassis became the basis for a whole range of bodies, among them the BM-21 Grad rocket launcher, tankers, and workshop and signals shelters. Thanks to its durability and simple maintenance it spread into the armies and the civilian sector of many countries.
Glue the frame and the axles on a flat surface so that the vehicle stands on all its wheels. Paint the tires separately and fit them only after the frame has been painted. In a small scale a finer contrast works better, so apply weathering and highlighting sparingly; coarse dust would swamp the small castings. Add a gloss coat to the cab glass so that it reads with depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
