Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis 1:72 (RS Models) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary aircraft in which the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic was made in 1927.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from the Czech manufacturer RS Models brings the famous single-seat Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model completed with fine parts and clear glazing for a faithful rendering of this historic machine. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Ryan NYP aircraft went down in history in May 1927, when Charles Lindbergh flew it across the Atlantic from New York to Paris alone and without a stop. This high-wing monoplane with a single radial engine had most of its space filled with fuel tanks, so the pilot could not see straight ahead. The flight made it one of the icons of aviation history.
Glue the model with liquid cement for plastic and fit the fine parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The characteristic silvery surface of the airframe comes out well with a quality metallic finish laid on a smooth, well-sanded base. Before the decals we recommend a gloss coat compatible with the paint used.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
