A resin conversion set from CMK for more experienced modelers. This is not a complete kit but an accessory which turns a base plastic model of the Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.D half-track carrier into the Drilling anti-aircraft variant, the name meaning a triple. The set contains resin castings of the characteristic triple weapon mount and of the modifications to the fighting compartment.
The designation Drilling refers to a triple automatic weapon, the 2 cm MG 151/20, on the Fla SL 151 pedestal mount. This anti-aircraft arrangement gave a half-track vehicle a strong defensive volume of fire against low-flying targets. It was a late improvised modification from the end of the Second World War, when the German forces urgently needed mobile anti-aircraft defense.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand resin with protection of the airways. The open fighting compartment deserves careful painting and washes where needed to bring out the rivets and the sheet metal.
The conversion set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
