A plastic kit of the French Dassault SMB-2 Super Mystère jet fighter in 1:72 scale, focused on its Israeli service. The decal sheet offers aircraft with the original engine as well as the later modification with American power, which makes the model interesting for admirers of Israeli aviation.
The SMB-2 Super Mystère was the first production fighter built in Western Europe to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The aircraft were also exported to Israel, where they proved themselves in combat. After the Mirage III deliveries, the Israeli Super Mystères were used as fighter-bombers, and some of them were rebuilt with an American engine.
This is a short-run kit, so count on cleaning the parts up carefully and dry-fitting them. Glue the plastic with modeling cement. The desert and all-metal finishes of the Israeli aircraft come out best when sprayed with an airbrush; mask the cockpit glazing before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
