The Zvezda 1:72 Soviet light tank T-70B plastic kit depicts one of the most numerous light tanks of the Red Army from the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the light tank T-70B in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The model offers a finely engraved surface, a separately molded running gear, and a turret with a gun. It is an approachable, well-fitting kit that also suits collectors of the smaller scale and diorama builders.
The T-70 was a Soviet light tank built from 1942 onward. It was powered by a pair of automotive gasoline engines, and its crew numbered two. The main armament was a 45 mm gun paired with a coaxial machine gun. The T-70B version (also called T-70M) received reinforced running gear and modified tracks. T-70 tanks saw extensive combat in 1942 and 1943, including at the Battle of Kursk, and were among the most numerous light tanks of their time.
Glue the small running-gear and turret parts with thin liquid plastic cement so it does not flood the engraved detail. Apply a base filler primer before painting; the actual coat can be done with a brush or an airbrush. The typical Soviet green can be brought to life with dry-brushing and dust and mud pigments on the running gear, giving the tank a realistic weathered look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
