Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian experimental Su-47 (S-37) Berkut in 1:72 scale. The model captures its unmistakable feature, the forward-swept wing. The kit offers a finely engraved surface and clear cockpit parts, with around 56 parts and markings for a Russian test machine. For the exact contents follow the actual packaging.
The Su-47 Berkut (originally designated S-37) was a Russian technology demonstrator with a forward-swept wing, which promised high agility. It served as a flying testbed for the technologies of future combat aircraft; only a single example was built and it never entered series production. The dimensions and the layout of part of the airframe drew on the heavy Sukhoi fighters of the day.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Apply a primer before painting; the dark experimental scheme of the Berkut goes on well with an airbrush. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and masking tape will make the canopy frames easier. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash, and a final satin clear coat will unify the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
