Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the legendary British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter (on the theme of North West Europe 1941-1944) in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer IBG models in the Black Box limited edition. The 2 in 1 package contains two complete kits, plus two photo-etched frets, a range of 3D printed parts, masks and a large decal sheet for 18 schemes (with part variants according to Supermarine, Castle Bromwich or Westland production).
The Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerous version of the Spitfire, with more than 6000 built. The Mk.Vb version, with a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine and the b type wing (two 20 mm cannon plus four .303 machine guns), was the main British fighter over North West Europe in 1941 and 1942. The airframes came from three manufacturers (Supermarine, Castle Bromwich, Westland) with minor differences.
We recommend building the model in subassemblies and dry-fitting the parts before gluing them. Paint the cockpit and interior, and pick them out with a wash if you like, before closing the fuselage. For the best result, use a good thin cement for plastic, fine files and, after the primer, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
