This resin detail accessory is NOT a model of a submarine but an accessory for a plastic kit of the German Type VII submarine in 1:72 scale. It captures the winch and the mechanism with which torpedoes were moved and loaded to the torpedo tubes. The accessory raises the realism wherever torpedo handling is visible, and it suits dioramas as well as detailing the internal layout.
It adds a fine mechanical detail that a base kit usually does not contain. It complements torpedo compartment sets and scenes with ammunition handling well. It is a part for a more advanced build.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Pick out the metal sections of the winch with a dark wash and a light drybrush.
This is an accessory to a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
