The real subject

The M977 belongs to the family of American heavy off-road vehicles with high mobility. These eight-wheeled trucks with a diesel engine serve to supply units, carry ammunition, refuel and support rocket and artillery systems. They entered US Army service in the 1980s and became one of the pillars of the logistics of modern armed forces. The M977 version is fitted with a cargo bed and a loading crane.

Building and painting tips

Glue the parts with liquid polystyrene cement and separate the small ones with a sharp knife. For modern military camouflage a primer and flat shades applied with an airbrush work well, and the broken-up patterns can be masked. A wash and dust pigments finish the weathering on the chassis and wheels. Glue the cab glazing in at the very end so that the clear parts are not fogged.
