The base under the paint decides how the finished model will look in the end. This set combines two functions in one product: it creates an adhesive ground for the covering color and at the same time fills the small irregularities left on the surface after sanding, filling and at the joints between parts. A thin coat of primer also evens out the differing shades of plastic, resin and metal into a single tone, so the covering color then comes out evenly and does not have to be applied needlessly thick.

The number of bottles, their volume and the shades are given by the manufacturer on the box; there you will also find the thinner meant for this range and the recommended thinning ratio. The set suits a modeler who wants surface preparation solved with one product instead of a combination of filler and a separate primer.
Wash and degrease the model before applying, as the primer will pull back on a greasy spot. Apply several thin coats and let the surface dry in between; one heavy coat will drown fine lines and raised detail. Once dry, sand the area with fine abrasive paper and inspect it against the light to see whether the joint is invisible. Where it is not, repeat the procedure in that spot only.
A kit, covering paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
