Responsibility details are not available.
A resin FAB-1500 aerial bomb completed with the UMPK gliding and correction module, in 1:48 scale, from the Russian brand Temp Models. The set is printed in resin, so it manages even the thin lifting surfaces of the folding wing. It is not an aircraft model but separate armament to hang under a finished model.
The FAB-1500 is a high-explosive fragmentation bomb of the class around a ton and a half. The UMPK module is a later addition: an assembly of a folding wing and tail surfaces with a guidance system is attached to the bomb, so that an unguided bomb becomes a weapon that glides after release and heads for the coordinates it was given. The carrier can thus release it from a considerable distance. On a model the whole thing stands out precisely because of that wing, which opens out after release.
The lifting surfaces of the module are thin, so release them from the supports over a working surface and without bending them. Sand the marks left by the supports wet and with respiratory protection. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The body of the bomb and the module tend to have a different shade and surface, so spray them separately and glue them together at the very end with cyanoacrylate.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
