Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the FAB-3000 aerial bomb in 1:32 scale. This is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. In this scale it is an exceptionally striking piece, on which the smooth body and the definition of the tail section come out well. The print renders them without the thickening a mold calls for.
The FAB-3000 is a Soviet and Russian high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb of the three thousand kilogram weight class, that is one of the heaviest weapons tactical aviation uses. Because of its weight only a few types can lift it and only on strengthened fuselage pylons. It is used against large fortified structures, where the effect of the blast wave over a wide area is what counts. In recent years it has appeared in combination with a glide module as well.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
