The KAB-1500Kr guided bomb in 1:72 is an add-on set of 3D-printed armament for models of Soviet and Russian combat aircraft. It is not an aircraft model but a separate bomb to hang under a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, which specializes in accessories for models of Soviet and Russian combat aircraft. The contents are a corrected aerial bomb of the 1500 kg weight class, printed from photopolymer. The set enriches the stores of a finished kit and does not make up an aircraft model on its own.
The KAB-1500Kr belongs to the family of Soviet and Russian corrected bombs of the 1500 kilogram class. The letters Kr mark the version with a television contrast seeker: the operator marks the image of the target on a display and after release the bomb keeps it in its sight by itself, so the carrier does not have to go on illuminating the target. The weapon is meant for destroying fortified and point targets and is carried by tactical bombers and multirole aircraft with the matching hardpoints.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
