Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the airfield tow bar for the MiG-31 in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The bar connects the nose landing gear of the aircraft to a tractor and is used when the machine is moved around an airfield. Printing in resin holds even the thin lugs and pins. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for an airfield scene.
The MiG-31 is among the heaviest combat aircraft ever to take off from ordinary airfields. Its main landing gear legs therefore carry a pair of wheels one behind the other, so that the weight is spread. On a machine of such weight, towing on the ground is demanding and the kit for it is sized accordingly. For a modeler the tow bar is a rewarding accessory precisely because it gives the viewer a sense of the scale of the whole scene.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface; the lugs on the ends are thin. Sand the marks off with fine abrasive paper, wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Airfield equipment tends to be strikingly colorful and scuffed at the same time, so suggest scuffs on the edges and dust the lower part with a pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
