Basic sets of this kind tend to be put together so that they hold the shades you will reach for most often and so that they can be mixed with each other. The designation, that is the second basic set, tells this package apart from the first line of shades.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the pigment settled at the bottom is mixed back through the whole volume. Lay the paint on in several light coats rather than one heavy one, or the fine relief of the figure will be lost. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. You will make the work easier with a palette, where you can spread the shade out and check the coverage before the brush touches the figure.
The set suits a beginning player buying a first complete range of shades as well as a more experienced modeler who wants to paint a larger number of game figures quickly. For collector-grade figures with rich shading, count on adding further shades and toning products.
