ATOM Urban Diorama Colors from AMMO of Mig Jimenez

A set of six water-based acrylic paints in clear jars of 20 ml capacity. The palette is put together for an urban setting: brick red, two gray shades for stone and paving, a sandy gray, an earthy brown and a dark rust. According to the manufacturer the ATOM range behaves like a clear coat, that is, it levels itself into a smooth layer and dries quickly, while still being thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner. Once dry the layer is tough enough to work over with washes, enamels and decal solutions without worry.

Use

• Brick and stone walls, reveals, chimneys and ruined buildings.
• Paving, sidewalks, curbs and hard surfaces.
• A base under washes and pigments that, being tough, will take even more aggressive products.
• Application with a brush and with an airbrush; the formulation allows for both.
• Mixing with one another for transitions between individual areas of masonry.
• Painting individual bricks and stones in a different shade to break up a uniform area.

Who the set is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes with an urban scene. Masonry and paving form large areas in a diorama that need several close shades so that the scene does not look uniform, and the set deals with that straight away.

Shake the jar before use. Once dry the paint resists further layers, so a spilled drop is hard to remove. Work in a ventilated area and keep the paints out of reach of children.
