A scenic accessory for dioramas: birch leaves in autumn colors. Intended for dressing trees and for scattering fallen leaves on the ground.
Responsibility details are not available.
The birch has small leaves with a serrated edge that turn yellow in autumn. It is precisely this small thing that does a great deal of work on a diorama: an autumn scene is recognized by the color of the crown and by the leaves on the ground before a viewer notices anything else. The set brings leaves in an autumn finish, so you have to worry about neither the shape of the leaf nor the shade.
You dress the leaves onto a tree armature that you prepare from wire or from natural material, and scatter the rest over the ground as fallen leaves. They also suit filling out bushes along a road or the edge of a wood behind a model. The accessory is independent of the theme of the scene, so you can use it with military vehicles, with figures and on a railroad layout.
Work in small portions and with tweezers, as the leaves are light and blow away. Apply PVA glue to the tree armature and scatter or press the leaves onto it; shake the excess off onto paper and use it again. On the ground, scatter the leaves onto a surface coated with glue thinned with water and a drop of dish soap, so that it also runs between the tufts of grass. The finished area can be fixed with a light mist of thin glue from above so that the leaves do not lift. The tone of the scene can be unified with a thin glaze or a light dusting of pigment.
A tree armature, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
