A set of decals for a model of the MiG-29 fighter in 1:72 scale in the markings of the Russian aerobatic team Strizhi, which the manufacturer also names the Swifts. It is not a kit but separate markings for your own model. The color schemes of aerobatic teams are among the most demanding that can be carried out on a model, because they cover a large part of the airframe and have to follow on across the panel lines.
Strizhi is an aerobatic team of the Russian Air Force which, as one of the few in the world, flies full combat MiG-29 fighters rather than trainers. Its color scheme identifies the type and modelers reach for it precisely because it is recognizable at first glance. The MiG-29 is a twin-engine fighter with pronounced blending of the wing into the fuselage and with separately placed air intakes, which used to be closed off while taxiing, so that the engines did not ingest objects from the runway.
Apply the decals onto gloss varnish; on a matte surface a silvery veil will appear under them. Cut the sheet close to the motif. Lay large areas down from the center toward the edges and press the water out with a soft cloth. On the edges and around the panel lines use a softener and press the film down with a cotton swab. With extensive areas of color, consider whether it will not be better to spray part of the scheme.
The decals are supplied on their own. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
