Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the K-36D-5 ejection seat in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement for the seat from the kit. The print holds the definition of the harness straps, the handles, the stabilizing booms and the small placards, which in an open cockpit decide how the whole model comes across.
The K-36D-5 is the latest development step of the proven Russian series of ejection seats, intended for fifth-generation machines. Against the earlier forms it has modified equipment, a different arrangement of the restraint system and is adapted to the modern equipment of the pilot. The deployable stabilizing booms and the protective shields against the air blast remain the identifying feature of the whole series. In an open cockpit the seat is the most conspicuous element.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. The seat comes out best after drybrushing on the edges and after the harness straps and the handles have been painted in a different shade.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
