The Khibiny-M jamming pods for the Su-35S 1:32 are a 3D printed resin set of pods of the electronic warfare system for a model of the Su-35S in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 3D printed resin pods of the Khibiny electronic warfare system in the version for the Su-35S, in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for the external equipment. The print holds the smooth surfaces of the casing as well as the small antenna covers, which an injection mold simplifies.
Khibiny is a Russian onboard electronic warfare system, carried in pods at the wingtips. The version for the Su-35S differs from the form for other types in the shape of the casing and in the arrangement of the antennas, which is why the manufacturer lists separate sets for the Su-30SM, the Su-34 and the Su-35S. The system picks up illumination by a hostile radar and answers with jamming against the guidance of anti-aircraft weapons. On a modern fighter it is standard equipment.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once separated they are easily mixed up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
