The model of the AL-31FP engine in 1:48 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. An engine with a thrust-vectoring nozzle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the whole AL-31FP engine in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It is not a replacement nozzle for a model but the engine as a separate object for a hangar scene, for a cart beside a stripped aircraft or for a model with the tail end opened up. Printing in resin manages the piping, the units and the mechanism of the nozzle.
The AL-31FP is a version of the turbofan engine with an afterburner in which the whole exhaust nozzle swivels. By deflecting the gas stream the aircraft changes the direction of thrust and stays controllable even in regimes where the control surfaces lose their bite. On the engine the vectoring mechanism is visible as an assembly of external rods and rings around the rear part, which makes it a more interesting object than an engine with a fixed nozzle.
Release the parts from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating faces. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The casing of the engine has a metallic tone, the piping and the wiring other shades, so paint it in layers. Finally bring the mechanism around the nozzle out with a dark tone run into the recesses and add oil stains.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
