That matters with this series: the parts come distinguished by color, so once assembled according to the instructions the model does without compulsory spraying and you get the basic appearance straight out of the box. Anyone who wants to can of course go on painting and weathering.
Plastic distinguished by color changes the building sequence markedly. There is no masking of large areas and no mixing of shades, but it pays off to pay attention to how the parts are separated from the runners, because every scratch shows on a colored surface. Meng runs this series in single-color forms and in further versions of the same figure in parallel, so the customer chooses according to how much work he wants to leave to himself.
Use sharp modeling nippers and clip a little away from the part, then even the sprue nub out with a knife or a fine file. Do not sand the parting seams on colored parts blindly, because a sanded spot has to be touched up with paint, so decide in advance which seams to deal with at all. The details stand out once the engraved lines have been drawn with a paneliner, and a matte or satin varnish in a spray can unifies the finished model. Do not flood the moving parts with varnish.
The model is supplied as a kit of parts distinguished by color. Painting is not necessary for the basic appearance.
