A resin set of quarter-ton FAB-250M-54 bombs together with a multiple ejector rack, in 1:48 scale, from the Russian brand Temp Models. The set therefore covers the whole suspension assembly at once: the rack that goes on the pylon and the bombs that hang from it. Printing in resin manages the thin arms of the rack and the ribbing of the tail sections. It is not an aircraft model but an armament accessory.
The FAB-250M-54 is a high-explosive fragmentation bomb of the older shape, with a massive body and short tail surfaces. A multiple ejector rack makes it possible to hang several such bombs on one station instead of a single one, so the aircraft uses its load capacity far better. The assembly is characteristic precisely for the way the bombs hang tightly side by side under a common arm, and on a model it is one of the most conspicuous items of the whole load of stores.
Release the rack from the supports over a working surface; the arms are thin. Spray the bombs and the rack separately and join them only once they are painted, otherwise you will not reach the inner surfaces. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Handle the color bands on the munitions with thin masking tape. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
