Faded Olive Green

Vallejo Pigment Faded Olive Green

This is a dry weathering pigment, that is a fine colored powder, not a liquid paint. The faded olive green has a muted grayed tone suited to showing the fading, dusting and weathering of the olive green finishes of military equipment. The pigment is micronized and without a binder, so it disperses easily in water, in an acrylic medium and in turpentine.

Use

• It is laid on dry with a soft brush onto the upper surfaces exposed to the sun and to weathering.
• It is fixed with a pigment fixer, with a thinner or with a matte varnish.
• It is mixed with earth pigments to vary the fading and the dust.
• Worked up in a medium it acts as a fine lightening cast on a green surface.

Who it is for

For modelers of military equipment and dioramas who want a true fading and weathering of olive finishes. It is used in the final phase of weathering.

It is a fine powder. Do not breathe it in, work without a draft, ideally with a respirator, and keep it out of the reach of children.
