Thirty-five four-millimeter tufts in a garishly luminous shade for gaming bases, science fiction terrain and contaminated zones.
Responsibility details are not available.
The rich yellow-green tone, which you will not find in nature, is exactly what makes a scene different at once. On the base of a science fiction soldier or on terrain contaminated by something that escaped from a reactor, a single tuft like this tells more than a whole paragraph of rules. The fibers are colored through in the material, so the color holds even after they are glued down and does not have to be painted over.
The tufts are four millimeters tall and there are thirty-five pieces. With a striking color a low growth has a great advantage: it does not shout across the whole model. A few pieces around a figure's legs or in cracks in the floor are enough for the eye to understand that the vegetation here looks different from at home, and yet they do not overpower the figure itself.
The effect can be heightened by contrast. If you darken the area around the tufts and keep the color of the surrounding soil in cold tones, the luminous growth visually jumps forward. On light sand, by contrast, such a shade weakens and part of the effect is lost.
Setting them in is the same as with any other grass tuft, with one reservation. Light fibers catch every piece of dirt, so apply them only onto a finished surface, after all the sanding and coating. Keep the rest of the package in a resealable bag, otherwise workshop dust will settle on the tufts and the bright tone will go gray.
