Mineshima F6 flat-tip tweezers, 125 mm long. The wide jaws hold decals, films and flat parts without denting them.
Responsibility details are not available.
While sharp tweezers hold at a point, these have a flat, wide tip. The difference shows as soon as you work with something that can be dented or crumpled: a moistened decal, a masking film, a photo-etched part or a thin plastic profile. A sharp tip would pierce or bend them, a flat one holds them across the whole width. The length of 125 mm matches an ordinary tweezer for the hand. The manufacturer is the Japanese company Mineshima.
Anyone who works with decals, masks and photo-etched parts will appreciate them, which in practice means every modeler at the finishing stage. They also prove useful when straightening a photo-etched part that has to be held flat and at the same time bent exactly in the engraved line. On the bench they go well with sharp-tip tweezers, each handling what the other cannot.
Even flat tweezers have edges that can injure. Put them down with the tip away from you and store them out of the reach of children.
