FLESH COLOR SET – ARTISTIC DENSE ACRYLIC COLOR

The flesh set of Artistic Dense acrylic paints

A set of bottled acrylic paints thinnable with water from the Artistic Dense figure range by AK interactive. It is not a kit, but painting material. On a figure the skin is the most demanding area: it is small, everyone looks at it first and a mistake in a transition is more visible on it than anywhere else. A set aimed directly at flesh tones saves work with mixing, because the shades in it are already matched to one another and, above all, repeatable when you finish a figure in parts or work on a whole group of characters.

Use

• Build the skin from the darkest tone toward the light, not the other way around. A light layer laid over light has nowhere to stand out.
• Work with thin glazes. Apply the dense paint only where you need a full area, and make the transitions with thinned paint.
• Put the highest highlights in small areas on the nose, the cheekbones and the chin, not over the whole face.
• Do not add black into the shadow, as it knocks the coloring down. A dark red-brown or bluish tone is better.
• In a warm room the transitions close up quickly, so consider a product for slowing the drying.
• Mix the bottles before work, as flesh shades have a strong pigment that settles to the bottom.

Who the set is for

For anyone who paints figures and busts and does not want to put a flesh scale together from individual bottles. It will also be appreciated by modelers who do figures only occasionally as a complement to vehicles and need a reliable base for the faces and hands of a crew.

The paints are intended for modeling use. Keep them out of the reach of children, work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottles carefully after use.
