The R-24T guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a Soviet heat-guided medium-range air-to-air missile in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet R-24T air-to-air guided missile in 1:32 scale. This is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The print holds the thin surfaces of the fins and the transparent cover of the seeker head, whose shape a casting usually simplifies.
The R-24T is the infrared-guided version of the Soviet medium-range R-24 air-to-air missile, derived from the earlier R-23. It formed the armament of the MiG-23ML fighters and their further versions, where it was carried paired with the radar R-24R. A heat-seeking head does not require the target to be illuminated by the onboard radar, so the pilot could break away after launch. You will know the head by its glazed tip.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
