Kh-41 guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the heavy supersonic anti-ship guided missile in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the heavy Kh-41 anti-ship guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. Given the dimensions of the real weapon, even in this scale it is a very substantial piece.
The Kh-41 is the air-launched version of a heavy Soviet supersonic anti-ship missile which, in its shipboard form, became known as the Moskit. It flies at very high speed just above the water, so the defenses of the target are left with a bare minimum of time to react. The body carries a ramjet with side air intakes and is considerably more massive than ordinary subsonic anti-ship missiles. It was carried by trial versions of heavy carrier-based machines.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
