The Kh-58 guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a Soviet anti-radiation guided missile in 1:32 scale for completing the underwing armament of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet Kh-58 anti-radiation guided missile, written X-58 in the supplier's name, in 1:32 scale. This is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The print can manage the long thin surfaces of the fins and the fine definition of the seeker head without the thickening that comes from a mold.
The Kh-58 is a Soviet supersonic guided missile intended to destroy the ground radars of an air defense. It guides itself passively onto the emissions of the target, so the aircraft does not have to illuminate the enemy with its own radar. It was carried by the Su-24M, the late versions of the Su-17 and the special MiG-25BM, later also by the machines of the Su-30 and Su-34 families. Against missile complexes it was among the main means of suppressing an air defense.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
