A resin Kh-58 anti-radiation missile in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Printing in resin renders the large lifting surfaces and the detailed rear control fins more sharply than a plastic part. It is not an aircraft model but a separate piece of armament to be hung under the wing or under the fuselage of a finished model.
The Kh-58 is a heavy Soviet missile intended for destroying ground radars. Its seeker looks for the target by the transmissions of the hostile radar, so the crew of the station has the choice between switching it off and having it destroyed. It was carried by specialized machines for suppressing air defenses, on which it was paired with a pod holding the search equipment. For its category the missile is large, and on a model you will recognize it by the prominent trapezoidal wing in the middle of the body.
Release the long body from the supports on a flat surface, so that it does not bend. Sand the marks left by the supports wet and with respiratory protection. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Check the large wing surfaces against the light to see whether they are warped and, if need be, straighten them under gentle heat. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
