This set of launchers and ejector racks for the MiG-31 in 1:72 holds, according to the manufacturer, the full range of carriage equipment. An accessory for a model, not an aircraft model.

A detail set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale, printed from photopolymer. For it the manufacturer gives the full range of highly detailed aircraft ejector and launch equipment of the MiG-31. The set fills out the stores of a finished kit and does not make up an aircraft model itself.
The MiG-31 carries its main armament on semi-recessed hardpoints under the fuselage and further weapons on pylons under the wing. Different equipment is used depending on the type of weapon: an ejector rack throws a missile downward away from the aircraft, while a launch rail guides a missile that takes off under its own motor. With the semi-recessed arrangement the shape of the equipment is especially easy to see, because the weapon touches the outline of the fuselage.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
