A resin set of launchers and pylons for a model of the Su-34 strike aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. These are the parts on which the armament under the wing and under the fuselage hangs. A plastic kit usually simplifies them; printing in resin manages the guide rails and the small locks as well. It is not an aircraft kit but an armament accessory for a finished model.
The Su-34 has a large number of stations and carries entirely different weapons on them: from short-range rockets to heavy guided missiles and bombs. Each of them goes with a different type of mounting, so several kinds of launcher come together under one machine. For a modeler that means a faithful underside depends on the mountings as much as on the munitions themselves.
Release the parts from the supports over a working surface and level the mating faces on abrasive paper on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the pylons separately from the airframe and fit them only once they are painted, otherwise the masking becomes needlessly complicated. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
