MiG-25 sensors and antennas in 1:72 is an add-on set that, according to the manufacturer, holds the full range of sensors, antennas and air pressure sensors of production aircraft. It is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models. For it the manufacturer gives the full range of sensors, antennas and air pressure sensors that were fitted to production MiG-25 aircraft of various modifications. As the material the manufacturer gives resin. The set replaces the coarse plastic bumps from the kit, but it does not make up an aircraft model.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft built to fly at around three times the speed of sound. Most of the airframe is welded from steel so that it can take the aerodynamic heating, and two R-15B-300 jet engines provide the power. It is precisely the small antennas, probes and sensors spread over the whole fuselage that differed most between the individual modifications, so getting them right helps place a model with a particular version.
For this set the manufacturer gives resin as the material. First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry thoroughly, or the primer will not hold. Separate them from the carrier with a sharp scalpel or a saw and sand the cut. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting and do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
