Replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. For the set for the upgraded SMT version the manufacturer gives finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape. It replaces the plastic wheels from the kit and does not make up an aircraft model.
The MiG-29 SMT is the upgraded form of the Soviet tactical fighter, recognizable above all by the enlarged fuselage spine, which took another fuel tank and new avionics. The takeoff weight rose with it, so the load on the landing gear and the flattening of the tires show on a standing aircraft even more clearly than on the original versions. The power is still provided by two RD-33 turbofan engines with afterburners.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad they leave, ideally on the side that sits on the ground. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting. Do not paint the tires pure black; a very dark gray with a lighter dust pigment is better. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
