Replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models. For the Su-25 wheels the manufacturer describes finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape; the parts are printed from photopolymer. This item is listed with the additional marking 3D, by which the manufacturer distinguishes one of its versions of the set.
The Su-25 is a Soviet subsonic ground-attack aircraft meant for the direct support of ground units. The pilot is protected by a welded titanium bathtub, two R-95Sh jet engines without afterburners provide the power, and the aircraft was built from the outset to operate from unpaved surfaces. The landing gear therefore received robust legs and low-pressure tires, which flatten clearly on a standing aircraft.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad where it will not be seen. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting and paint the tires a very dark gray rather than black. Dust pigment on the rims and the sidewalls suits a ground-attack aircraft. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
