The wheel set for the Su-57 1:32 is a 3D printed resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin 3D printed set replaces the landing gear wheels of a model of the Su-57 in 1:32 scale. The wheels show the deformation of the tire under the weight of the aircraft, so the model sits naturally on its surface. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement part for one, which replaces the simplified pieces from the kit.
The Su-57 is a Russian single-seat fifth-generation fighter with a reduced radar signature and internal weapons bays. The landing gear retracts into the fuselage and its bays are closed by carefully fitted doors, so that they do not disturb the shape of the airframe. The nose leg carries a pair of wheels, the main legs one each. On a machine standing still the tires are visibly settled, which is the detail that gives a finished model away the fastest.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Fit the weighted wheels so that the flattened part of the tire sits on the surface, otherwise the model does not stand naturally.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
