Lascivus Decor Marshmallow Type

The product

The preparation comes from the Lascivus Decor range and carries the type designation Marshmallow. It belongs to the sets for finishing the surface of a model, that is, to the group of preparations used only on a finished and painted piece.

What these sets are for

Finishing preparations serve to stop a model looking like freshly painted plastic. They accentuate the texture of the surface, unify the shades and give the work a depth that paint alone will not provide. They are used in small amounts and their effect can be built up, so it is the modeler who decides the final degree, not the packaging.

Recommended procedure

• Before you use the preparation for the first time, read the manufacturer's instructions; they give the particular way of applying it and any thinning.
• Try the effect on a piece of scrap plastic painted the same way as the model, not straight on the finished piece.
• The surface underneath should be clean, dry and degreased.
• Work in sections and keep checking the result in daylight, not only under a lamp.
• Give the model time between the individual steps; haste shows on the surface.
• Keep the preparation tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Who it is for

It will be appreciated by modelers who want to widen their stock of finishing products and who like control over how pronounced the effect on the model turns out. It suits kits of military equipment just as well as figures or a diorama, because finishing work follows the same principle with all of them: less, and with thought. Unless stated otherwise, this is a standalone item; the package contains no model, paints or tools.
