Vallejo Pigment Light Rust - a weathering pigment of 35 ml

A fine loose pigment in a 35 ml jar. Light rust has the orange cast typical of fresh, young corrosion: rust streaks, the beginnings of corrosion on sheet metal, bolts and edges. The pigments are lightfast and can be mixed with each other, so a smooth transition from light to dark rust is possible.

Use

  • It is applied with a dry brush to places exposed to damp and rubbing: edges, joints, damaged paint.
  • For running rust streaks the pigment can be activated with a drop of thinner or weathering medium.
  • It is fixed with a pigment fixer, with thinner or with matte varnish.
  • Combine it with medium and dark rust for depth and a natural progression of corrosion.
