Sandpaper multiplies on a modeling bench faster than anything else. Coarser sheets for rough leveling, fine ones for smoothing filler, sanding files, pieces cut into strips and offcuts that are a pity to throw away. Without order the whole heap ends up in one box and hunting for the right grit takes more time than the sanding itself. This section gives sandpaper a firm place within reach, so that it can be taken out and put back with one hand without putting down the part you are working on.
The section is part of a modular arrangement of the work surface. The individual parts of the same system are put together side by side according to what you really need on the bench, so you can extend the arrangement gradually and adapt it to the size of the bench top and to whether you work mostly with your right or your left hand. The dimensions, the material, the number of compartments and the way this section is supplied are given by the manufacturer.
Sort the grits from the coarsest to the finest right as you load them in and keep the order, whether by the marking on the back of the sheet or by a color coding of your own. Cut the sheets to the size you really use at work beforehand, so that they do not curl in the compartment. Store the abrasives dry and clean; paper clogged with paint or filler already sands unevenly and is worth discarding.
Sandpaper, tools and the other sections of the system are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
