IONIC Enchanted Blue

The Enchanted Blue shade

A single paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The name Enchanted Blue is a fanciful one; it belongs to the part of the range named after fantasy subjects and therefore does not pin the exact position of the blue tone down. Before you order the shade, compare it with the manufacturer's color chart; from the name alone all that can be read is that it is a blue.

Where a tone like that serves

Blue shades from the fanciful part of the palette are used mainly on figures and gaming models: on cloaks and fabric, on glowing elements, on gemstones, on the wings and scales of fantasy creatures. They come into their own outside that circle as well, though, because a strong blue is rewarding for painting civilian vehicles and for mixing, where it gives green and gray shades a cool cast.

Application

• stir the contents thoroughly before use; the pigment settles at the bottom
• saturated blue tones tend to be more legible on a light base than on a dark one
• apply several thin coats and let each one set
• choose a thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions
• on the small elements of a figure work with the tip of the brush rather than with a full stroke

Delivery and storage

What you order is the shade alone as named; thinner, brushes and other equipment do not go with it, unless stated otherwise. Close the bottle carefully after work and keep it dry, away from frost and direct sun.
