Gunze Mr. Clay For The Scene (Mud) - modeling compound for dioramas

Mr. Clay For The Scene in the Mud shade, from the Japanese maker Gunze, is a workable modeling compound for building terrain and diorama scenery. It is neither a paint nor a kit - it is a plastic compound from which you shape muddy tracks, ruts left by tracked vehicles, pools of soil or the terrain around equipment. The darker brown mud tone is already in the material, so you do not have to spend time mixing the base tone. The package holds 300 g of compound.

Use

• The compound stays workable for roughly an hour; dampening it extends the working time
• It is applied and shaped directly onto the diorama base and holds well on ordinary materials
• It cures in air in roughly 24 hours; do not speed up the drying, or the compound will crack
• Once dry it can be cut, sanded and overpainted with weathering paints and pigments

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes who want a realistic rendering of muddy ground, vehicle tracks and muddy corners. Suitable both with figures and with vehicle models.

Store it in a closed container so that it does not dry out. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
