LifeColor PG107 Dark Rust Powder Pigment

A loose weathering pigment from the Powder Pigments line by the Italian maker LifeColor. This fine dry powder serves to create realistic corrosion and rust deposits; it is not an opaque paint. The Dark Rust shade is a dark, deeper rust for an advanced stage of corrosion on metal surfaces, joints, rivets and scuffed edges. The pigment can be applied dry or bound with a medium.

Use

• Apply it dry with a soft brush in the places where rust and streaks collect.
• For permanent adhesion fix it with a fixative or mix it with water, thinner or a medium.
• Combine it with lighter rust shades for a natural gradation of the corrosion.
• It holds best on a matte surface, and the intensity is best built up by layering.

A fine powder: do not breathe it in and do not work in a draft. A respirator and good ventilation are advised. Keep out of the reach of children.
