1:35 German Fire Extinguisher Early (3D-Printed) is a printed set of fire extinguishers in the early form for models of German equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set made by 3D printing for models of German Second World War equipment in 1:35 scale. It contains fire extinguishers in the early form, that is, the type the vehicles carried in the first years of the war. Printing can draw out the shape of the bottle, the mounting and the small details of the control to a fineness an injection mold cannot reach, because it has to allow for a parting line. The set is not a model of a vehicle; it is an addition to an existing kit.
A fire extinguisher was part of the mandatory equipment of German combat vehicles and was usually mounted on a fender, on the hull or in the fighting compartment. Its shape and mounting changed over the course of the war, so the vehicle carrying it can be dated by it. That is what turns a small addition into a detail that decides between a correct and an incorrect configuration on a model. The early and the late form differ in the shape of the bottle.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the face with a scalpel. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. The bottle is usually in the color of the vehicle, while the control part and the label stand apart from it. Small chips on the edges add credibility, because the extinguisher was in an exposed place.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
