1:35 Soviet Paramedics and Wounded Tankman 1943-1945

Evolution Miniatures 1:35 Soviet Paramedics and Wounded Tankman 1943-1945

A resin set of figures in 1:35 scale from Evolution Miniatures. It depicts Soviet medics treating a wounded tank crewman in the years 1943 to 1945. The castings are supplied in gray resin, unassembled and unpainted; it is a narrative scene for advanced modelers.

The real subject

The scene captures, factually, the work of field medics on the Eastern Front at the end of the Second World War. Medical care for the wounded was an inseparable part of combat operations; the scene documents the human dimension of service in war. The uniforms and the gear match period Soviet medics and tank crews.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and test fit them. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, and sand with respiratory protection. On a multi-figure scene it pays to paint the figures separately and to bring the tones of the uniforms into line, so that the scene reads as a whole.
