An extended edition of the double set from the Compact Series range. Besides two complete kits of caricatured F-104 Starfighter aircraft it also contains an element listed as Wolf Pilot with the number BQ02. Check exactly what that addition covers against the illustration and the data on the packaging; it is precisely this that makes the item differ from the basic edition.
The F-104 Starfighter is a single-engine supersonic aircraft with a slim fuselage and very short, thin wings. Both subjects belong to the Republic of China Air Force and the name designates them as the RF-104G and the TF-104B and assigns them to a project named Alishan. In American designations the letter R usually goes with reconnaissance versions and the letter T with two-seat trainers, so the machines in the package are not identical.
The goods are kits, not finished models. The parts are separated, cleaned, glued and painted according to the manufacturer's instructions, and you should try the fit dry beforehand. A caricatured shape has simplified detailing, so what shows in the result is mainly a smooth surface and a clean color finish. Apply the paint in thin coats and sand the joints with fine paper once the glue has hardened, so that they do not give themselves away under the paint. Paint the added item separately and attach it only at the end.
For a modeler who wants to build a pair of machines as a whole and is interested in the edition with the extra item. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
