Swamp File - Extra Fine 0.5 mm (600) is a thin modeling file 0.5 mm in diameter at 600 grit, held in a holder with an extending mechanism.
Responsibility details are not available.
A thin modeling file from the Japanese maker EIGER Tool, half a millimeter in diameter at 600 grit. It is intended for places an ordinary file cannot reach: narrow seams, the edges of holes, corners and cleaning up after parts have been separated. Compared with the thinnest variant it has a somewhat larger diameter, so it is stiffer and less prone to breaking while keeping its ability to work in a narrow space. It is held in a holder with an extending mechanism.
What decides is the ratio of thinness to stiffness. A diameter of five tenths of a millimeter still fits into a seam that abrasive paper folded over an edge only smears, yet the tool holds its direction and does not wander off the line. 600 grit is fine, so it tends to smooth the surface rather than tear material away from it, which is exactly what is needed after filling or after a part has been separated. The holder is operated by pressing it like a mechanical pencil and protects the file between jobs.
For modelers who fine-tune detail and need to clean places that ordinary tools cannot reach.
The tool has a thin and brittle working end. Handle it carefully, protect your eyes and keep it out of the reach of children.
