This is a detail set, not an airplane model. The set brings the complete fit of the cockpit of the Brewster F2A-1 fighter in 1:72 scale and is made from a combination of fine resin and photo-etched metal parts. It replaces the simplified interior of the basic kit with a faithful replica of the instrument panel, the seat, the side consoles and other elements of the cockpit. The manufacturer is the Hungarian brand SBS Model.
The Brewster F2A Buffalo was an American carrier fighter of the late 1930s. The F2A-1 version was the first production rendering and became the basis for a series of export variants. The open view into the cockpit is an exposed place on a model, so a detailed interior shows markedly in the final impression.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent and separate the casting blocks; bend the photo-etch over an edge and glue it with cyanoacrylate. Paint the interior and shade the recesses before you close the fuselage. Trying the fit in the particular kit beforehand is recommended.
The accessory is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the basic kit are not included in the package.
